Christian Singles: Learn to Maximize Your Relationship Success

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the April 30th, 2009

Christian singles, do you want to build healthy and successful relationships? If your answer is “yes!”, then you must learn how to pick people with godly character traits, as well as be a person of godly character!

First, let’s take a look at what healthy and satisfying relationships look like…

Henry Cloud and John Townsend teach in their book, Safe People, that healthy relationships include four qualities. First, they are safe emotionally and physically. Second, they have boundaries that are respected. Third, they draw you closer to God and help you to grow spiritually. And fourth, they do not compromise your Christian values.

There are some other identifying marks of a healthy relationship which Cloud and Townsend mention. For example you will feel built up not torn down. In other words the relationship will help you become who God wants you to be. Also, you will be drawn closer to others in a healthy way. In healthy relationships you can also expect mutual trust, respect and vulnerability as well as a balanced sense of giving and taking.

Most importantly you will experience healthy and satisfying relationships by looking for a mate based on Christian principles and by choosing to be a person of godly character yourself. Naturally, it is common even for Christian singles to be attracted to the outside of a person: their looks, their status, their achievements, and their intelligence. But remember, it is the inside of a person that we experience in relationships.

The time to evaluate character in others is before you get too deeply involved. As Cloud and Townsend say, “When the attachment deepens, the reasoning weakens.” The scriptures warn us to, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23.

At this point you may be wondering, what kind of character traits should Christian singles look for and aspire to? Ruth and Boaz, two singles from the Bible, exemplify the kind of character traits to look for in a potential mate.

Ruth’s character traits were: devotion to God and to family — the evidence of her character was in her actions. She was humble and teachable. She was focused on her responsibilities. Her faith was in God to provide for her — she trusted Him for a future spouse. She was a woman of her word. She did what she said she would do.

Boaz was devoted to God and to his farming responsibilities. He did not let his heart become entangled and he was not distracted from his priorities. He was a man of his word. He did what he said he would do. He was a Christ-type — he exemplified the character and work of Christ - especially in his act of redemption for Ruth.

If you want to become a person of character, you must take personal ownership of your character development. You must be willing to stop blaming others for your short comings and failures. You are the only one who can do it. If you have a pattern of painful relationships take an honest look at your own character traits. Confess to the Lord the things you discover about yourself and make a plan for change. For example read a book on the subject, set personal limits and develop an accountability system.

If you have unresolved issues from your past such as trauma, abuse, abandonment or neglect and you recognize a pattern of painful relationships, find someone who will help you work through them like a pastor or a counselor. When people have been traumatized by these things as children, they often need to make changes that will bring healing and wholeness in order to function well in close relationships.

Finally, Christian singles need a plan for spiritual growth. Your plan should include making knowing and loving God a priority in your life. Choose to order your life around knowing God rather than finding a mate. Then pray for a mate who is committed to the same things. You see, God’s primary work in each of us is to conform us to the image of Christ. As you devote yourself to God and His word, and yield to His Holy Spirit, your character will change. As your character changes you will likely experience more relationship success.

Purity12 Promotes Overall Good Health

You may use Purity 12 Cleanse in the privacy of your house, with no need to endure a shameful trip to your doctor. An soiled colon will lead to a poisonous waste build up in your colon, augmenting your body’s poison level. Be this as it may, you don’t have to live like that for you can naturally detoxification your body to rid yourself of the poisonous waste build up in your colon. A colon cleanse will not remove all of your body’s toxins but it will flush out the majority of the toxins. This is actually a dazzling colon cleaner.

A poisonous colon can create a gigantic quantity of build up in your guts. This poisonous, unhealthy build up makes it much tougher for waste to make its way through your guts and out of your body. These poisons that we are being continually exposed to can have a horribly negative effect on our bodies. When the colon is so backed up, the excess gas will not be able to pass as easily or as quickly as it should be able to. A toxic colon loaded with build up prevents the waste from passing not as easily, but also as often as it should, thus leading to constipation and thorough discomfort. One of the way to get rid of colon poison is thru using Purity 12 Cleanse.

The act of colon cleansing has been going on since the beginning of time, or at least since the beginning of recorded history. In fact, colon cleansing has even been documented as going on since as early as 1500 B.C. in Egypt. This practice of colon cleansing has been going on since the beginning of our time, or at least since the beginning of recorded history as has been documented. Today, many years, centuries-even a millennium later, colon cleansing is still practiced, and it is becoming more and more popular with every passing day. Creating Your Own Success Support System

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the April 27th, 2009

People who are on the same journey tend to band together, and the journey of life is no different. Throughout the Internet and in the real world, like-minded travelers have joined to form support groups, newsgroups, goal-buddy groups, chat rooms, tele-groups (using conference call telephone bridge lines) coaching groups, and mailing lists (email or snail mail) - just to name a handful of the available support resources - all dedicated to making sure that every member or participant has a real chance to make to their goals a reality. You can find these groups through Internet searches, the “community events” section of your local paper and by word of mouth, and I heartily suggest that you do.

If there are none available that meet your needs, start one! Set down all the things you want to accomplish, and in what format you want help, and then print out some simple, eye-catching flyers announcing your new group. Put them up where they are likely to be seen by the people you need to reach - if you’re working on weight loss, post them at a gym, or doctor’s office; if your goal is worldwide travel, post at a local travel agent’s or at the library.

You can meet in your house, take turns meeting in the participants’ homes, or take advantage of the public spaces available to you in your town or city, such as parks, conference rooms in the library, food courts in the malls and other such areas. Or set up an online forum or group, if that suits you better. There are many free venues such as MSN or Yahoo! Where special interest groups can be easily set up with just a few minutes’ work. Again, locate fellow participants by putting up hard-copy flyers, posting your link in your favorite forums or newsgroups, or by emailing your friends and family to see if they, or anyone they know, would like to join.

[Note of warning: Take advantage of these resources freely and enthusiastically - but use caution and common sense make sure you aren’t taken advantage of in return. Don’t forget basic Net and real-world self-preservation, and don’t get too caught up in your excitement to pay attention to obvious and not-so-obvious warning signs.]

It’s just that simple, and it’s very effective. There’s nothing like being accountable to a group of fellow seekers and strugglers to keep you on the straight and narrow when it comes to doing the work involved in setting and meeting your goals. It’s easy enough to justify sitting around all Sunday watching X Files reruns when it’s just us, but knowing that on Monday night, fifteen people are going to be eagerly waiting for you to tell them all your accomplishments and progress of the previous week, makes it mighty uncomfortable laying there on the couch if you haven’t gotten your goal work done.

Peace On Earth, A Wonderful Wish, But No Way

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the April 25th, 2009

When asked, “If you could wish for one thing only, what would that wish be?” almost everyone; from beauty pagent contestants, to politicians, to religious leaders, to children, to the average person on the street states, “Peace On Earth” or “An end to all wars”. Those wishes, while exemplary, are meaningless. As long as humans exist there will never be peace on earth.

Throughout the history of humankind there has never been peace on earth. Cavemen fought other cavemen over territory, food and even women. Cain killed Abel over God’s respect. Gabriel blew down the walls of Jericho. America fought the Revolutionary War for freedom and brother fought against brother in our Civil War for more freedom. There have always been wars and there will always be wars.

As long as humans can think, there will be wars. Wars over such concepts as freedom, honor, dignity, etc.. Wars over territory, greed, power, prejudice, etc.. War is a part of human nature. For example, every human being is prejudiced. If they don’t like some race, nationality or religion, they don’t like short or tall or fat or skinny or smart or not smart or loud or quiet people. Some people don’t like children, some people don’t like old people, some people don’t like people with pets, or people that play their music too loud, or bad drivers, or people that believe in God or people that don’t believe in God. What is right and proper to some people can be wrong or even enraging to other people.

Religion can not stop wars, in fact many wars are fought over religion (Note: I believe that religion is used as an excuse for war not the real reason for war.). Christians fought against Muslims during the Crusades, Many Muslims want death for all non believers. The Catholic Church killed heretics during the Inquisition. The Nazis killed millions of Jews and then started killing Catholics. The Russians under Stalin killed anyone even remotly religious. Protestants killed other Protestants for being the wrong type of Protestant. Muslims killed Muslims for being the wrong type of Muslim. Don’t forget about Atheists (I believe that Atheism is also a religion, it is a religion of non belief.), Stalin was an Atheist and wanted to get rid of all religion. Most of China’s leaders are Atheists and have jailed and killed huge numbers of religious people. History is rife with various types of religious battles.

The main reason for war, however, is the lust for power. The power to make others do and believe as you do and believe, the power to make other people render unto you what you believe is rightfully yours, the power to make other people treat you as you believe you should be treated, the power to gain what you want (ie: money, love, respect, etc.), the power to punish others for doing things that you don’t believe they should do, the power to keep other from having things or thoughts that you don’t have. In other words, the power to be, in some ways God, to make everyone else in your image with you as their ruler.

As long as people have the ability to think, there will be greed, envy, prejudice and anger. As long as those things exist, there will be wars. Most people believe, either religiously or secularly, in the rules set down in the Ten Commandments, but very few people can follow those rules all of the time because our ability to think causes us to want. Wanting causes us to break some or all of the rules. Humans are not perfect. If they were they would not be human.

Can Anyone Become A Successful Business Person?

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the April 24th, 2009

Can anyone become a successful businessperson? I am asked this question many times after I have given a speech on business procedures and strategies. The answer is not that simple.

Before we get to the answer, let me ask you a question. Can anyone become a successful medical doctor? To become a doctor, there are several very important factors that have to be given a lot of careful thought and consideration.

First, you have to be interested in the field of medicine. Then develop a passion for this profession - find out all you can, do plenty of research and get professional advice.

Once you have made your firm decision, you have to go to medical school and learn from the work of those who have researched, developed and established the field of medicine through trial and error.

When you graduate from medical school, you have another very important decision to make. Are you going to specialize in any particular field of medicine like cardiology, gynecology, anesthesiology or any other particular area of medicine.

If you decide to specialize, you will have to go back to school and qualify in your chosen field.

After you graduate, you will have to serve an internship either at a hospital or with a specialist in your field who might decide to take you under his or her wing and give you some hands on practical experience under supervision.

Then you will be ready to venture out on your own. You can set up your own office or join a group of doctors who work from one office.

Some doctors, after graduating from medical college and having served an internship, decide to go into general practise. General practitioners, who usually act as “Family Doctors” examine patients and refer them to specialists to deal with a particular medical problem.

For example, a person with a heart problem will be refered to a cardiologist; a person with a skin problem to a dermatologist and so on.

Becoming a medical doctor is not easy. You have to be interested in the field of medicine, develop a passion, be dedicated, educate yourself, get the proper training and work at it passionately on a consistant basis.

Since new discoveries are being made in the field of medicine constantly by researchers and other scientists, everyone in the medical profession has to keep up with all the new developments.

I have never heard of any doctor who has gone through all the education, training, internship etc. failing in this profession. There are those who might change course. For example, a general practitioner might decide to go into research.

But doctors never fail to be doctors unless they give up or retire. Doctors take their profession very seriously and succeed always. There is no such thing as failure in the medical profession.

Now to get to the question, “Can anyone become a successful medical doctor?” The answer is “Yes! Anyone who really wants to can become a successful medical doctor.”

The key words here are, “Anyone who really wants to.”

Let us get back to our original question. “Can anyone become a successful business person?” The answer is, “Yes! Anyone who really wants to, can become a successful business person.”

To become a successful business person, you will have to make several important choices. choices like,

1) What type of business do you want to get into? 2) Are you passionate about the field you have chosen? 3) Are you willing to devote enough time and energy to your business? 4) Are you prepared to do whatever it takes to succeed? 5) Are you willing to stick to it till you succeed?

Then you have to research your field of interest, educate yourself, get the proper training, lay the foundation and work at it consistantly. If you do everything properly, success is inevitable. Ask any successful business person and he or she will tell you what they had to go through to achieve success.

A business should be taken seriously and treated like a profession, not as a hobby. Then with the correct, persistant action taken on a daily basis, you are sure to succeed. There is no doubt about it.

Those who do not succeed in business are the ones who are looking for “An easy way to make money.” These are the same people who buy lottery tickets and hope to strike it rich overnight. According to statistics, the chances of a person winning a lottery is one in 168 million.

But the chances of succeeding in a business, if done in the proper way is 100%. There is no “Easy way” to make money in any business. Passion, dedication, knowledge, education, hard work are all necessary ingredients. Once you get started and get some experience under your belt, things will become easier and easier.

Yes! Anyone who really wants to, can become a successful business person and make a living or even become very rich. Lots of people who have followed the correct path have succeeded in business and are continuing to do so. “Everyone wants to succeed but few are willing to pay the price.”

You can become a successful business person “If You Really Want To.”

Starting Your Homeschool

Posted in Tuition Center by admin on the April 23rd, 2009

For some reason you’ve decided to homeschool.

Is it because you don’t like or agree with the curriculum of the public schools? Or maybe you don’t want your child to be exposed to peer pressure before you’ve taught your child right and wrong?

Possibly it’s because you’d like for your child to attend private school but you just don’t have the finances to afford it.

Another possibility is that your child is a special needs child, maybe slower than normal, and you don’t trust the public schools to give him/her the special attention that you know they will need.

Whatever the reason, you’ve decided that you, as a parent, can do a better job of attending to and nurturing your child’s educational growth and learning than other alternatives available to you.

If you’re new to this, you’ll find that the biggest problem that you’ll encounter is that there’s almost no way to generalize the home school concept, because each case is different. There is no right and wrong. In fact - probably one of the unstated reasons you’ve chosen to do home schooling and one of the main benefits is that you get to pretty much create your own set of right and wrong rules.

You set the curriculum. And depending on what state you live in, you choose the instructional materials, the books, the hours, and so on.

And on the negative side, when you run into difficulties with your students (i.e., your kids) you and your family will have to resolve them yourself, with little or no help from the state.

No matter what your approach there are two things you are going to have to do:

1. You’re going to have to educate yourself about home schooling. This means renting or buying home school educational dvds. You should also make it a point to read books written by ordinary people who have gone through the very things you’re about to so you can avoid making their mistakes with your kids.

2. There is no nationwide agreement on what a home school accreditation program should look like or include. Each state, municipality, and school district is different. Unavoidably, you’re going to have to become familiar with and abide by the statues governing homeschooling in your particular state.

Aside from those two things, I think the basic thing you can give your home school child is a loving and supporting “classroom” environment .

Internet Gambling Keeps Betters in Their Homes

Posted in Coin Flips, Gambling World, Sports For All by admin on the April 22nd, 2009

Some gambling buffs will likely have found the caption “offshore sports betting” in recent months, but many might not be altogether positive what it indicates. An overseas gaming website inherently acts outside of the sphere of any distinct country or it can also mean a machine-accessible sports betting site which has all of their file servers in a country in which networked sports betting isn’t illegitimate. Succinctly therefore, it’s best described as a betting facility in action extraneous of the rule of the nation of the customer. Networked betting web pages are mostly regulated by three administrations. They are OSGA (the Offshore Gaming Association), the IGC (Interactive Gaming Council) and the Fidelity Trust Gaming Association FTGA.

The Offshore Gaming Association is in fact a non-partisan authority which currently supervises the current offshore sports gaming industry, they undertake to offer gamblers the means to easily locate reliable internet companies to play betting games on, without worry. The Offshore Gaming Association labors to maintain customer’s rights, and in addition they charge no particaption costs.

The Offshore Gaming Association is a well qualified and equitable third party organisation who express impartial assessments, established around customer feedback, impartial investigation, chats, inside advice not to mention supplies inside intelligence.

The Interactive Gaming Council are a non commercially influenced agency. The organization has been set up to allow a platform for worried participants to talk over topics and also to move forward shared concerns in the international web-based sports gaming profession, to ensure scrupulous and effective professional standard procedures and procedures that heighten buyer trust in online gaming merchandise and benefits, and in addition to work as the sports gambling industry’s universal practise adviser and in addition it functions as a data depot.

The Interactive Gaming Council has made a reputation for stimulating reliability, integrity and believability via the tough standards it establishes, and also its allure for trustworthy businesses. The Interactive Gaming Council influences overseas betting by means of upholding an extraordinary ten-point working code and also bills gambling businesses a license fee to feature the council’s logo. Malcontent clients can moreover state any of their problems to the Interactive Gaming Council.

The FTGA was established in a venture to present a benchmark which will raise the criteria of computer accessible gambling operations. The IGC trust that by conducting trade with honorable companies, they are able to build an affiliation of the fairest and most efficient online gaming companies world-wide.

So, in concise terms these are governing bodies which survey the dealings of web based sports gaming and which should assist to allay any fears experienced by cynics. Networked betting internet sites are actually harmless, in that individual details shouldn’t be demanded also the returns and the gambling odds should be equivalent to common Vegas-style wager. They cut down travel outlay, but retain the ethos of a regular Vegas-style betting web site, however nowadays you are able to wager in your house.

Hot Yoga - Bikram’s Twenty Six

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the April 19th, 2009

Even though the world population has shifted from mainly
rural to mainly urban in the last decade, there are still
lots of folks like me who live in the sticks. Doing things
like taking a yoga class becomes a different thing in our
case from driving to the neighborhood gym. Since I live 40
miles from the nearest town large enough for yoga studios,
when I decided to take a class, I was more interested in
the schedule than I was the type of yoga. I couldn’t afford
to be picky if I preferred not to wait around for a couple
hours after getting off work. So I looked in the phone
book, and didn’t pay attention to anything but the
schedule. There it was: M-W-F at 4:00. Perfect. I don’t
know what rock I’d been living under, but the word “Bikram”
writ large across the ad in the yellow pages didn’t trigger
the term ‘hot yoga’ in my mind, and that left me in for a
big surprise.

I showed up with a comfy pair of sweatpants and a long-
sleeved t-shirt. As the woman at the desk was giving me a
little orientation information - explaining that the room
was heated to about 100 degrees Fahrenheit - I realized
that my concept of yoga clothes weren’t going to work here.
Apparently, I wasn’t the first to make this error. Susie
told me they had loaners. Now, it’s been a while since the
last time I wore hot-pants, so when she handed me the
little scrap of shorts, I thought, “No way.” She said,
“Trust me, you’ll fit right in.”

Susie continued, giving a few more orientation tips, which
started to seem like a set of warnings. “Our first-time
students are encouraged to rest whenever you feel you
should - kind of take it gradually. The instructors just
ask that you do your best to stay in the room for the
entire time.” What? Were we still talking yoga here? I’d
seen pictures. Sure, I might not be able to balance on one
leg while holding the other one over my head at my first
try, but come on. How hard could it be to stretch as far
as I could go and stop there? Why would I get desperate to
leave the room?

Her next suggestion: “OK, I see you brought a bottle of
water. That’s good, but you’ll be tempted to drink a lot,
and I recommend you just drink sips - not too much at a
time.” Hmm. What was I getting into here? It sounded
like I was facing some kind of ordeal - not what I had in
mind at all since I was thinking of yoga as a peaceful, low-
impact way just to stretch and keep my aging body flexible
and strong.

Once I was dressed in the little bit of shorts, I opened
the door to the yoga studio and was met with a rush of hot,
stultifying air. Oh goody. I walked to an open space,
spread my mat, lay on my back, and understood exactly what
she meant by asking me to at least stay in the room. I was
already dripping sweat, and we hadn’t even begun the class.

Ninety minutes and twice through the 26 poses later, I was
indeed still in the room. In the non-competitive,
supportive atmosphere I had been completely guided to go to
my edge, but not so far that I would be turned off by
struggle. In fact, I was exhilarated. I lay on my back at
the end, eyes closed in the peaceful, very hot room, and
knew I’d be back for more.

Think Yourself To Success

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the April 18th, 2009

What are the sharpest tools in your toolkit? Is it your business website or brochure? How about your press kits or pitch letter? Often solo entrepreneurs first think of a technological tool since technology allows us to “do more with less cost”. The truth is your sharpest tool is your mind which is where every action is first created. Consider the following ways to sharpen your best tool.

A Fish Tale

A favorite fish of many hobbyists is the Japanese carp, commonly known as the koi. The fascinating thing about the koi is that if you keep it in a small fish bowl, it will only grow to be 2 or 3 inches long. Put the koi in a larger tank and it will reach 6 to 10 inches. Put it in a large pond and it may get as long as a foot and a half. However, when placed in a huge lake where it can spread out, it has the potential to reach sizes up to 3 feet. The point is pretty clear. The size of this fish is directly proportional to the size of the pond. A comparable analogy can be made concerning people. Our growth is determined by the size of our world. Not the physical dimensions, but the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical opportunities we experience. Realizing that our growth comes from the inside, we better understand that that unless we expand who we are, we’ll always have what we’ve got. Think of it this way, SUCCESS BEGINS WITHIN.

HEADLINE New York Times, 1991 “Optimism Emerges as Best Predictor to Success in Life”

Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence, reported on this groundbreaking research conducted at the University of Kansas. What was discovered was this: People with high levels of hope share several attributes:

– They turn to friends for advice on how to achieve their goals.

– They tell themselves they can succeed at what they need to do.

– They believe that things will get better as time goes on.

– They are flexible enough to find different ways to get to their goals.

– If hope for one goal fades, they aim for another. Those low in hope tend to become fixated on one goal and persist even when they find themselves blocked.

– They show an ability to break a formidable task into specific, achievable chunks.

People who get a high score on the hope scale have had as many hard times as those with low scores, but have learned to think about it in a hopeful way, seeing a setback as a challenge, not a permanent failure.

This study proved what wise people knew all along - YOUR ATTITUDE AFFECTS YOUR ALTITUDE.

It’s All About Attitude

You hear that all the time, but what does it really mean?

Expecting the best in everything–not the worst.

Remaining upbeat–even if you get beat up.

Seeing solutions in every problem–not problems in every solution.

Believing in yourself–even if others believe you have failed.

Holding on to hope–even if others say it is hopeless.

Here’s the good news: Positive attitudes can be learned. One of the fastest ways to transform our attitudes is with our language. These are the words you want to eliminate from your vocabulary: I can’t. I don’t have the time. I’m afraid of. I doubt it . These are the words you want use more of every day: I can..I will make the time..I am confident. I expect the best. YOUR WORDS SHAPE YOUR ATTITUDE.

SUCCESS BEGINS WITHIN. What are you willing to do differently as you create your next success? Close the gap between KNOWING and DOING by taking a single action each day. Challenge yourself to raise the bar and enjoy the possibilities! TAKE ACTION NOW!

Jackson Residents Embrace Prepaid Cell Phones

Posted in Great Telecommunication Tips by admin on the April 18th, 2009

A prepaid cell phone is a cell phone through which you can avail of the services of a Jackson, Mississippi, mobile phone network by buying consumable credits before availing of the said services. The term “prepaid” stems from the concept that you have to pay before service is rendered by the company. For comparison, a post-paid arrangement is one wherein you pay at the end of a billing cycle. In this case, you can call, text, surf the Web, or avail of other services before paying for them.

Credits for a prepaid cell phone are typically purchased in the form of cards marked with various denominations. These cards usually have unique codes that are covered by a scratch-able material. Once the code is revealed, you simply enter them into the phone and send them to a number specified in the card. You will then receive some sort of notification informing you that you can start calling or texting. In some networks, including Jackson, other services, such as Web browsing, are also possible.

These cards, also known as prepaid refill cards, specify the maximum duration or an expiration date within which the credits must be consumed. Beyond it, unconsumed credits will be deemed unusable. To ensure that the phone is usable at all times, it is recommended that you refill or “top-up” your account by purchasing refill cards before the last credit is used up.

Some people prefer prepaid cell phones over post-paid plans because they only need to spend as they need to. This is ideal for those who don’t call or text on a regular basis and who only avail of other services sparingly.
