Stress & Burnout: The Adrenal Factor
I was a psychotherapist for years before I got involved in the holistic movements….before I became a shaman. I had a strong interest in psychosomatic problems. The popular approach at that time, which is still common, was that many body problems, pains, etc., were all in the head. That there was no actual medical basis for many human problems. I also accepted that as a fact, and saw many clients ….trying to resolve their mental / emotional issues so they would no longer have these false medical complaints, or painful symptoms. [ Many were helped to live better lives with the therapy….but that is not the point of this article. ]
To make a very long story much shorter, let me just say that a range of personal experiences followed by years of personal research led me to become an expert in psycho-physiology. Where psycho-somatics assumed that ‘ it is all in your head ‘, psycho-physiology assumes that there is something actually going on in the body causing the symptoms. Then my research / experience took me one step further. I began to realize that many problems were actually comming from the environment, effecting both the mind and the body!
This issue is very complex….I could write books about it……but these tidbits will stay focused on some common [ adrenal ] issues………………..So if you are suffering with a whole range of symptoms…I can clearly state that [ it’s not all in your head ].
- First of all, we are not a closed system….yes there is a skin around us but we are really an energy system, and energy around us does get inside us.
- Some of this environmental energy helps us, and some hurts us….the environment is a mixed bag, a melting pot of many things.
- The adrenal glands…..try to handle all stress……it doesn’t matter if that stress is caused by our own internal process or environmental factors.
- Among other things, the adrenals work on the [ fight or flight approach ]. That means when they are dealing with a stressor, they will try to get you to resolve the cause of it by fighting with you inside or fighting with something in the environment. Let’s say that your fighting with your boss at work…not knowing quite why….the adrenals know why…..they are causing the fight so you will address with your boss the real issues causing the stress. If that doesn’t resolve things..the adrenals kick in the [ flight ] approach…telling you to [get away from here before you get too damaged]. The adrenals are trying to protect you [ that is their job ] by getting you to quit and find another job.
- However, like most body processes, the adrenal live and work in that part of you called the [ unconscious ]. That means that you don’t always know what they are trying to resolve. However, there is always a real issue causing damage to you when they become active…. this is the basis for psycho-physiology! The pain and damage is real….not in your head!!!
- Once these glands are reacting to something, they don’t stop untiil the issue gets resolved. Since you often don’t realize what the issue is, often things don’t get resolved. So the glands get weaker [ from over use ], over time they become exhausted and can even stop functioning in total failure [ DEATH ].
- Other body gland will often try to take over the adrenal’s job…..they too can become exhausted. The phrase [ burn out ] is referring to this actual exhaustion of these glands…..it’s not all in your head.
- You can die, or develop many stress related conditions……or be open to many environmental toxins or infections when the mind-body is weakened by burn out…..the immune system is burnt.
- You have a few choices in how to handle this situation……most often people use [ coping tools ]. Some of these tools cause further damage…..drugs, smoking etc. Some help…like taking high doses of [ B Vitamins ].
However, I always suggest that you actually resolve the cause of the stress, rather then just cope with it.

Kids’ Clutter: Organizing at Every Age
Our children are probably the biggest clutter creators we have in our homes — even more so than the dreaded paper flow. It starts out innocently, when we find out we are expecting; then the purchasing frenzy swings into high gear and does not let up until, well, let’s just say many years down the road.
The clutter begins on the highly anticipated homecoming day when our countertops fill quickly with samples and instructions from the hospital. The bottles of formula, diapers, blankets and wipes all begin to take root on the counters and any and all other flat surfaces. You can kiss that nesting mode goodbye and say hello to survival mode!
Stage 1 Infant Organization
Obviously, organizing for an infant is the sole responsibility of the parent. The main areas for infant organization are:
- the changing table
- the diaper bag
The nursery’s changing table is a great place to start with simple organizing techniques. Divide the shelves below the changing surface with baskets; fill one with diapers and wipes, one with crib bedding and blankets, one with onesies and socks, etc. Baskets are a great accessory for the nursery because they are portable, lightweight and decorative. They are also readily available everywhere from discount stores to high-end decorating stores.
Next, the diaper bag can be your best friend when stocked and organized properly. Take some time before your next outing and take inventory of your contents. Diaper bags today have all these great little dividers and compartments for storing all your stuff. Upon returning from your outing re-stock and refresh your bag, so you will be ready for the next time you go visiting.
Stage 2 Toddler-Preschool Organization
Organizing this active group can be a challenge, but there are several organizing exercises in which you can involve your child, including putting away:
- books
- videos
- toys
The clear plastic containers that you can find all over these days are great kid-friendly storage solutions. Try labeling each one with a picture of its contents to make for easy cleanup for those little non-readers (store advertisements and catalogs are a great picture source, as well as printing pictures from internet sites).
Baskets are also great for storing their favorite books and videotapes, though you might want to store them out of reach to prevent them from constantly being dumped out on the floor! Little hands can manipulate a basket with much more confidence than a tightly stuffed bookshelf.
Lastly, designate an area in your home for the toys. It is important for your child to understand that their toys have a place and need to make their way back there before bedtime.
Stage 3 School Age Organization
By this time, your kids are busy with many of their own activities and all the required “stuff” that goes with it. As frustrating as it may be the tenth time you have to remind your child to put away their belongings or straighten up their shelves, do not give in to the temptation to just do it yourself. This is a critical time period for developing life-long habit and you will both gain from a little patience and consistency.
Encourage your children to keep a calendar of their activities and after school commitments. Display a master family calendar, so everyone is informed and no one is left ride-less or out of the loop.
Laundry at this stage of parenting can become quite an overwhelming task. Invest in basket-sorter hampers for the kids’ laundry; your kids are quite capable at this age of sorting their dirty clothes by color. The pre-sort saves you time on laundry day.
Stage 4 High School and Beyond
Keep up the encouragement — these young adults have a lot on their minds and schedules. This can be an extremely stressful time with the college applications, spring break plans, graduations, not to mention a full course load and endless extra-curricular activities. Good time management skills are critical to maintaining these over-extended calendars. Paired with time management skills, organizational skills will help create a smooth transition to whatever path your children choose (restocking the diaper bag now seems like a cinch, doesn’t it?).
Rest assured that all your hard work building a good organizing foundation will remain with your children throughout their adult life. Who knows — maybe they will win the lottery one day and know exactly where they filed their winning ticket because they were raised in a home that stressed organization, and to show their gratitude share the prize with mom and dad.

Standing in the Gap
I’m weary of saying No to my children. Not just the everyday No’s. Don’t hit your brother and No, you cannot have 5 pieces of candy. I am weary of the No I am continually saying to our culture. The world is bound and determined to take away my children’s innocence. They want my children to grow up way too fast. They want my little girl to dress like an adult. They want my little boy to know things he is way too young to know. I’m weary of saying you can’t go to that movie, because it is not appropriate for your age. No, you can’t wear what everyone else is wearing, because it is not appropriate. The straw that finally broke the camel’s back was when my son walked in while I was watching the news. He asked me, “Mommy is it true that men can marry men and women can marry women?” “Mom, if two women marry can they have a baby?” My son is 6. I don’t want to be discussing sexuality with him much less homosexuality. So, I told him that no men can’t marry men and women can’t marry women (for now anyway) and that women with women cannot have a baby. (Don’t get me started on explaining how they can). I should not be having these discussions with my children, but I’m being forced too. What happened to childhood innocence?
As I was thinking about my weariness I remembered the song and verse in the Bible about Standing in the Gap. I also realized that God cares more for my children than I do. He is there to guide me and support my weariness. He knows there is sin in the world. God wants me to rest in him and seek his guidance in these difficult times. He wants me to say No and set moral limits based on Biblical standards that differ widely from the world. He expects me to raise children who respect God and obey his commands.
The problem with being weary is it is so easy to give in. I have been there and I would guess you have to. Oh, okay you can see that movie or maybe you can wear that shirt. You know “Everybody else does.” Please hear me clearly there is a big difference between raising naive children and innocent children. I just want my children to grow up in a reasonable time frame. I want them to know what is appropriate for their age.
So, fellow Mom I ask that we stand together. That we stand in the gap for our children. That we constantly seek God’s guidance and protection for our children. We can grow weary, but we can’t give up. Our children need us to show them the way. They need to see living up to God’s standards is very different than the world’s.

Rock Concert Discount Tickets Thru Alternative Energy Lighting
Can we use the roar of the high intensity crowd and all their human energy to light up the stadium? If we can use all this high energy, can we get a discount on our tickets for the energy savings? How about a Rock Concert discount tickets thru Alternative Energy Lighting Program? Sounds good to me? But is it really possible to light up a stage and all the lighting using vibrational energy from all the people packed in?
It maybe possible by placing large 4 x 8′ sandwich sheets with a taunt film on the vibrational side and small copper lined tubes, hundreds of them running perpendicular to the sheets, with magnets inside bouncing back and forth. These magnets will charge a capacitor and be hooked up to an LED lighting system using fiber optics or reflectors, each one hooked up to a .2 to .5 watt light. With hundreds of thousands of lights hooked up in a composite format it will light up the stage and building.
Currently this technology is being used in those little flashlights you see advertised on television that you shake and they light, but you never need batteries. This idea of lighting up the stadium is using that technology on a larger scale with miniaturized parts making up the guts between the sandwich sheets. Let there be light, thru vibrational energy and there was. Think on it.

Euro Millions and Something You Might Not Know. How it Operates, Who it Applies to and How You May You Play this Massive European Lottery
The Euro lotto was in the beginning set-up by the national lotteries of France, Spain and the United Kingdom and was disclosed on February 2004. The opening lotto draw was on February 13-04 in Paris. The United Kingdom, France and Spain were the only nations partaking in the beginning but lotteries from Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Ireland and Luxembourg also got active in Oct-04.
The euromillions lotto or the Euro lotto, as it is usually better-known, gathers the lotto ticket revenues of the 9 partaking Euro countries giving a whopping Euromillions “jackpot”. With the sum of nations joining the EU on the increase, this will without question will lead to new states participating in the Euro Millions lotto. An increase in the amount of people partaking in the Euro Millions lottery will lead to a lasting increase of the already whopping Euro Lottery jackpots.
Q. How Would You Play The European Lotto?
Every player must pick out five main numbers from one to fifty and 2 Lucky-star numbers from one to nine. During the draw, five primary plus two “lucky-star” numbers are then selected at random from two draw machines containing numbered lottery balls.
European Lottery Awards
The probabilities of scooping up the Euro Lottery jack-pot is a remote 1 : 76 million but the chances of winning a money prize is a fairly decent 1 in twenty four. When the “jackpot” is not won in a given week, it is carried forward to the following week that will result in an ever increasing “jackpot” value. New rules brought in on the 9/02/2007 set the amount of consecutive rollovers to eleven, with the “jackpot” rolling out to lower value levels in the 11th draw when the prize is not collected.
The recent rules likewise initiated Euro Lottery Super-Draw which go on twice annually and offer jackpots in the region of £100 million. The difference with Super-Draws is that the jackpot must be collected during the week of the lotto draw; as a result, if there is no lotto ticket matching, all the numbers drawn and the top prize will be distributed to the lotto ticket bearer(s) on the succeeding winning prize tier.

Graduation Diplomas For All
Graduation Caps
Graduation caps are also known as square academic caps, mortarboards or tams and are a type of garment worn by graduating students. The caps are usually worn on the head and come in different forms. The design of the caps also contributes to them being called square caps as their tops are made of a four sided board. Depending on the institution that is handing out the graduation hats as part of the graduation regalia the hat may also have six or eight sides. At the center of the caps is also a tassel that is attached using a clasp. The tassel is supposed to dangle on one side of the tassels until when the students can move it to the opposite side at the end of the ceremony.
The customary attire of the graduates cannot be complete is the cap is missing and it is worn with the hood, stoles or sashes and robe. There are other graduation caps that are known as tams. These caps do not have a board at the top but they are rounded and are most commonly made of velvet. Their usual color is naturally black and are worn more commonly by the students graduating with a doctorate degree.
Prostate Wellbeing - with Natural Remedies
The healthcare profession term a swollen prostate benign prostate hyperplasia, or BPH. In layman’s terms this means that the prostate, a gland which encloses the urethra and lies below the bladder, becomes larger and this may impair or potentially even block urination. All about the Betting Games Gambling Maniacs Play: Betting Hall Games of Chance
Assuming that you aren’t familiar with betting house card playing, feel free to read on —
The most common definition of a gambling house is a construction that presents gambling. Customers are invited to bet by challenging the coin operated machines or alternative pastimes. Gaming establishment games in the main include numerically derived chances included that insure the gambling saloon holds on to an interest over the gambling buffs.
Countless betting establishment games may cause you to get overly dependent rapidly. By way of example, consider the quintessential 1-armed bandit, a coin operated instrument with three discs which pivot once a handle on the side is tugged. The contraption regularly pays with reference to a range of pictograms observable on the front of the gadget. Sadly, gaming hall games tend to convey a hallucination of control, thus hoodwinking the betting aficionado: the addressee is challenged with make a few alternatives, but these can’t really compensate for the client’s longterm negative odds. This is precipitated by the betting saloon never refunding the entire wager as expected. This strategy is generally found in acclaimed casino games like five-card stud, dice games, roulette or blackjack.
Poker is a very a highly fashionable casino game. The gambling enthusiasts, playing with partially concealed cards, are placing bets in the pot which is paid out to the winning participant possessing the winning set of cards. (And yes, the best bluffer may win)
Much the same as straight poker, blackjack is also a very fashionable casino game. A generous portion of its celebrity is caused by the mix of luck and proficiency and decision making, and a practice labeled Card Counting. This is a very complex technique through which visitors can actually reverse the odds of the game to their advantage by both betting & strategy opetations based on the cards dealt.
“Craps” is another incredibly popular wagering game based on the throw of two dice. Aficionados wager on the score of one roll, or on a string of cycles of 2 dice. Dissimilar to blackjack, there just isn’t any viable sustainable winning strategy people can exploit to improve the odds.
Roulette is another celebrated gambling pastime - a croupier twists a roulette wheel that encloses 37 (classical roulette) or, respectively thirty eight (American roulette) separately numbered pockets in which a rolling pellet must settle, defining the final winning number Supposing that a gamer has bet on a single number and is successful i.e. it is actually having a lucky day, the promised remuneration will be thirty five to 1, the original pledge proper is paid out. Thus in totality it’s multiplied by thirty six.
how two slackers become successful: true story of Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe
Last year, one of the most popular terms used was the 10,000-hour rule. It claims that to gain expertise in any area, 10,000 hours of practice is needed. However, this is not always the case as in the success of MySpace, one of the hottest social networking websites ever existed.
It all started when Tom Anderson entered his boss Chris DeWolfe’s office and said, “Dude, we’ve got to talk. I’ve been thinking about Friendster.” DeWolfe doesn’t always take what Anderson says seriously because he got way too many unrealistic ideas. However, for this one, the timing couldn’t be better. ResponseBase, the company both were working for was in a terrible situation at that moment. Naturally, the company decided to copy Friendster’s design, addming its unique template system - MySpace layouts and create another social networking website. Now it’s time for the slacking and serendipity to do the job.
First, let me explain how the serendipity works. Two new programmers were hired to fill the vacancy of the old guy who quit which he probably would regret for the rest of his life. One of the new guys, Nguyen, made a mistake. He left Web markup language in user submissions unblocked. Slacking then took its turn. Due to Nguyen’s mistake, thousands of teen were free to design their own pages. It might look ugly to software engineers, but it’s irresistibly beautiful to a teen.
A brand new world was born when Web designers are striped their power by the type of people who post home-made films of themselves doing silly things on YouTube. The first thing for DeWolfe and Anderson was to convince their parent company, eUniverse to stand by their side. Then they found the treasure of musical sampling by the admission of indie music community to MySpace. The reason why they did this was because the music community was the sole motivation for a large of their users at that time. The pair made their names in 2005 when eUniverse was purchased by Rupert Murdoch for $580 million.
The question now is whether Facebook is going to do MySpace what MySpace did to Friendster. For DeWolfe and Anderson, this is not even close to a happy ending. They hit the jackpot and became addicted to business. As slackers, they know it better than anyone else, having too much money is even worse than having too little.
